As you can see from my latest pics we had a bright sunny start to the day. It has been raining for a while now and I'm cheering. Why? We are close to drought conditions in Wales close behind the SE of England which is in this state already. The red flowers in the pics are Scarlet Runner Beans and I am desperate to have some later in the year. Growers these days seem to leave them to grow too big for increased yield but they are too stringy and I haven't bought any for years. If we have a hosepipe ban I will find it very difficult to choose which of my many plant pots to water. Sadly I don't have a proper garden.
Does anyone else think that fruit growers pick too soon resulting in sour fruit on supermarket shelves. I haven't bought any fruit besides bananas for years either. Can't stand sour things yuk.
